Hello and welcome to the Your Next Stamp November Release Blog Hop!!!

Nov92014-hopbadge

I am so glad you are here hopping along with us! This month's release is packed full of fun stamps and dies, perfect for holiday crafting!
Not only are there a bunch of great images for card-making, but SO MANY possibilities with all of the dies and smaller images being released! And the design team has really gone all out to showcase the new goodies for you!

My first project is a simple card using the beautiful new Gretchen and Owl from Omnia Designs. She is a blast to color!
I added a small strip of patterned paper behind the image, and popped everything up in front of that. For the embellishments, I used a banner from the Fishtail/Banner Die Set One, trimmed it down in length, and topped it with a snowflake cut from the Winter Fun Tag Die Set.

Supplies: Hammermill White CS, Bazzill Red Hots CS, Neenah Desert Storm CS, Echo Park This and That Christmas 6x6,
Scalloped Rectangle Nesties, YNS Banner/Fishtail Die Set One, YNS Winter Fun Tag Die Set, Button, Burlap String, Pop Dots

Copics:
Skin - E11, E00, E000, E0000, R30
Hair - YR24, YR23, YR21, YR20
Hat, Shirt, Bows - R59, R29, R27, R24, R22, R20
Mittens, Leaf - YG17, YG25, YG03, YG01
Cuffs and Ball on Hat - C3, C1, C0
Owl - E57, E55, E31, E30
Beak, Feet - Y38, Y32

Up next, I used a couple of new dies combined with the Recipe Card Stamp Set. Have you ever made those yummy smelling cinnamon cookie ornaments at Christmas-time? I saw a recipe for them on Pinterest, and thought they would be fun to make with my kiddos this year!

Ginger1

I stamped the recipe onto white cardstock, and used the awesome new File Tab Die to cut across the top. (I LOVE this die... I can't wait to use it for some projects to organize around my crafty space!!)
The adorable little gingerbread man is from the new Gingerbread House Die Set. (Seriously... I need a week or two JUST to play with this die set... it has so many fun elements!) Not only is this little guy's face totally cute, but I absolutely LOVE the embossed edge it leaves around him...

Ginger3

Since I popped him up, I backed him with some white cardstock first, so his eyes wouldn't look hollowed out! The little heart embellishment on the tab was made by stacking 3 centers of the heart border die from the Awesome Border Die Set One. I wanted to add a little dimentsion, plus it's tough to fit a pop dot under such a tiny embellishment!

Ginger2

I was thinking if I package up the recipe card with cookie cutters and all of the ingredients, it will make a cute gift for my kiddos, and it's something fun we can do while they are on holiday break from school! This would be a fun and inexpensive gift for teachers or neighbors, too!
