The Crafty Sister
You Make My Day Brighter
The challenge at Meljen's this week is to use buttons on your project. This cute Little Light Bulb is one of Meljen's Dollar Digi's. I've had him sitting on my desk all colored up, so I decided to make a quick little gift bag with him for the challenge. I thought this sentiment from the Under the Weather set from There She Goes was a perfect fit! I used a Stardust Glitter Gel Pen, and Signo White Gel Pen to add some detail, and of course, a button!
Supplies: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White CS; Wausua Black CS; Kraft Gift Bag;
Stardust Glitter Pen; Signo White Gel Pen; Ribbon; Button; Black Thread;
Versafine Onyx Black Ink; Circle and Scalloped Circle Nestabilities; Copics
Copic Colors Used:
Y15, Y13, Y11, Y00, Y0000 - Bulb
R30, R00, R000 - Cheeks and Heart
C3, C1, C0 - Base

Whimsie Doodles Sneak Peek!It's time to give you a little taste of what's in store for tomorrow's New Release Day at Whimsie Doodles...
(I think this might be my favorite release yet!)
Be sure to come back tomorrow... there are lots of new digi's being revealed, and more excitement that you don't want to miss!
See you then!
My First ATC!I was recently introduced to the wonderful world of Artist Trading Cards (ATC's) when a fellow stamper invited me to join her ATC swap. I was intimidated at first, because they seemed so small (only 2.5" x 3.5") compared to a full sized card. But it's actually a fun challenge to work on a smaller area! And, I can use the ATC later as the focal point on a full size card... just can't go wrong with that! So here's what I came up with for my first ATC...
Supplies: There She Goes "Under the Weather" stamp set; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink;
Cryogen Curious Metallic White CS; Wausau White CS; DCWV Grade School Stack PP;
Paper Piercer; Pop Dots; Copics (Y38, Y35, Y32, R01)
I used the adorable sun from the Under the Weather set from There She Goes, stamped it onto Cryogen Curious Metallic white cardstock (so it has a little shimmer to it), and colored it with Copics. The clouds were stamped onto Wausau basic white cardstock, then cut out, and they are all popped up on dimensional adhesive dots. I used a paper-piercer to create a little border around the blue dotted cardstock. So simple, but so much fun!
I am entering this into the Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge #29 - "You are my Sunshine"

Birthday GusTomorrow we are celebrating my Grandpa's 87th birthday with a big party and BBQ at the lake... Since he is the biggest kid I know, I thought this Birthday Gus image and sentiment from Bugaboo would be perfect for his birthday card!
I used some striped cardstock from the DCWV Citrus Matstack, and colored Gus to coordinate. I also added a little Glossy Accents to his eyeglasses!
