Summer Fun Friday!
It's another FUN Friday at Your Next Stamp, and this month's theme is Summer Fun!
With summer approaching very quickly, I've been trying to think of ideas to keep the kiddos busy over the break... My daughter, Olivia, is very artsy-fartsy, just like her momma! I thought it would be fun to put together a small scrapbook/journal where she can paste photos, draw pictures, and write about all the fun she has this summer. I've had this Maya Road 6x6 Chipboard Album for ages, needing a purpose, and this project was perfect for it!
I decorated the cover of the album with the adorable Summer Fun Fhiona, and some bright, fun papers from the Fancy Pants Beach Babe 6x6 pad. I sponged the cloudy background behind Fhiona with the YNS Puffy Cloud Die, and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. The sun was created with two cuts from the YNS Whimsy Star Die, stacked and topped with a button. The layout is this week's Sketch Saturday.
The album is a simple three ring binder with chipboard pages, a perfect clean slate for Olivia to decorate, and we can easily add more pages as needed! I'm so happy with how this little book turned out, that I've ordered two more so I can make one for each of the kiddos! It will be a fun way to unwind at the end of the day together, and keep track of summer memories!

The Sun is Always Shining...
Posting two days in a row! Yay me! I've hardly spent any time in my craft space for a few weeks, but I've been doing so much coloring the last couple days that I gave myself a callus! I'm out of shape! ;)
Anyhoo... It's review day at All That Scraps, and we are taking another look at this month's new C.C. Designs stamps. I used the darling new Tumbleweeds Kite Girl for my card, and I love how it turned out! So bright and cheery, don't you think? I used a combination of Doodlebug patterned papers from the Flower Bow 6x6 pad and Springtime 6x6 pad. The sun was cut with my Spellbinders Circle Nestabilities, and the cloud is cut from the C.C. Cutters Four Season Tree Die. Her dress, bows, and kite are all paper-pieced. The sweet senitment is from the new AmyR Sunny Sentiments set.

It's a Beautiful Tasty Tuesday...
Hi Stampers! Thanks to everyone who has emailed and checked in on me over the last week... I appreciate your thoughtfulness and kind words! If I haven't gotten back to you, I'm sorry... life has still been a bit hectic. I am still dealing with some health issues, and it kinda kills my mojo too... BOO! But, I am trying really hard to get back in the swing of things... I love creating and sharing, but unfortunately, life interupts my fun sometimes!
I did manage to get this cute little card made for the Tasty Tuesday Challenge at Your Next Stamp. We have a great inspiration photo this month...

...aren't these cupcakes fun?? When I saw this picture, I immediately thought of Rainy Day Fhiona. Pulling inspiration from the cloud and umbrella images, and also the colors, here is what I came up with. The raindrop print paper is from a My Mind's Eye pad that I can't find the name of! :( Fhiona's outfit and umbrella are paper pieced with a print from the My Mind's Eye Memorable 6x6 pad. I cut a couple of clouds from the Puffy Cloud Dies and popped them up in the corner. The sentiment is from the Outside Window Play set.
Supplies: Hammermill White CS; Neenah Desert Storm CS; MME patterned papers; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink;
Antique Linen Distress Ink (to ink edges); Stardust Stickles; Thread; Pop Dots; Copics

Tuesday Morning Sketch #195
FOR MY YOUR NEXT STAMP SNEAK PEEK, SCROLL DOWN
Happy Tuesday sketch fans. It's a fun week for me at Tuesday Morning Sketches... I get to represent two of my design teams, as Clearly Digi Stamps is our generous sponsor this week.
This week's awesome sketch was designed by our very own Debbie.
This was a really fun sketch, and definitely challenged me to do something different. It's a unique layout that I never would have come up with! I scrunched the sketch down to fit a standard A2 card, and ended up not leaving enough room for a sentiment, but I can always squeeze one in later! I didn't have the exact shape that the sketch shows, so I just rounded the corners on the piece instead. The image is from a set called Scoops by Clearly Digi Stamps. I paper pieced the cone with kraft cardstock, and did some shading with my Copics. The ice cream is also paper pieced with patterned paper from the American Crafts Dear Lizzy Neapolitan collection.
Supplies: Neenah Desert Storm CS; Hammermill White CS; Bazzill Maltball CS; Dear Lizzy Neapolitan;
Brown Bamboo Twine; Button; Corner Chomper; Petite Oval Nestabilities; Copics (E42, E41, E40)
That's it from me today. Be sure to check out the line up at the Tuesday Morning Sketches Blog for inspiration.
I can't wait to see what you create!
