Teddy's Balloons
Happy Friday crafty friends!
I wanted to share my latest Paperie Ink creation with you today... I had a lot of fun with this card!
My daughter has a favorite stuffed friend named Teddy... a big yellowish brown bear that wears a red bow-tie. When I saw the bears in the Baby Bunting set, I immediately thought of Teddy. So, I used the bigger of the two bear images to make a simple card for her.
I wanted the color of the Teddy on the card to match her actual bear as closely as possible, so I used a combination of Copics and colored pencils to get it right. I stamped two balloons from the set using Memento Ladybug Ink, and then shaded them with Copics... I love how it turned out! I've never tried the "no-line coloring" technique, but I'm thinking I'll have to make a go of it after doing this! The images were all cut out and popped up, and then I added a bit of Black Scappers Floss for the balloon strings. I wrapped the ends of the strings around a toothpick to give them a little curl.
I finished off the card with a couple of vellum clouds.
