Peeking Pets - YNS Preview!
It's time for a NEW RELEASE at Your Next Stamp!
We have 3 days of previews planned, with 7 new stamp sets and 3 die sets arriving in the Your Next Stamp store on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 11 am EDT.
Today, I'm sharing a preview of the new set called Peeking Pets... this one is going to be a favorite!
I've created two birthday cards... one for the dog lover...
...and one for the cat lover!
The new Rectangle Scallop Frames with Piercing Marks is going to be another favorite!
I used it for both cards, layered with vellum cut from the Circle Dies, and popped the cute pets up above a sentiment banner.
Papers are from Doodlebug's Puppy Love 6x6, and Kitten Smitten 6x6.
Copics:
Fur - E44, E43, E42, E41
Cat Ears - R30, R00,
Eyes - BG0000, C00
If you haven't already been there, head over to the YNS Blog for links to the rest of the designers with previews to share today!
And be sure to leave a little love while you're there... two random comments will be selected to win a stamp set from the new release!

It's time for a new challenge at Your Next Stamp!
This time we want to see
FUN FOLDS!
Another one I find extremely challenging!! Trying to wrap my head around some of those beautiful, complex folds I see is like sitting in highschool Geometry all over again... it's just not my thing!
So... I went with a very simple Z-Fold (I think that's the name of it?)
I like that this fold doesn't add a lot of bulk, so it still makes for an easliy mailable card.
I created the sun rays using the Starburst Background Stamp, and Sunflower Yellow Ink. The center of the sun was made with the circle die from the Rainbow Fun Die Set, stamped with a cute smile from Fun Faces.
The inside panel, just behing the Stitched Square, is stamped with a sentiment from the Little Notes Stamp Set, using Black Olive Ink.
The inside panel is cut from ivory cardstock with the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I used the same die to cut the piece of patterned paper for the front of the card, and then cut it in half to fit.
The only Copic coloring on this card are the rosy cheeks and tongue on the sun!
I can't wait to see what you all create for this challenge... maybe I'll learn that Fun Folds aren't as intimidating as I think?!
Link up your creation by May 28th for a chance to win a YNS Gift Certificate. Check out the YNS Blog for all the details!

Thank You So "Mush"!
I've got a cute and simple Tiddly Ink to share with you today!
I love the "stickers" sets... you get so many images in each set! This mushroom is one of the extras you can find in the Little Valentine's Royal Fun set.
Supplies: Hammermill Color Copy Cover 80#, Neenah Desert Storm 80#, Doodlebug Patriotic Picnic 6x6,
YNS Black Olive Ink, YNS Stitched Rectangles Dies, MFT Stitched Circles Dies, Foam Tape, Copics
I was inspired to use this cutie for sketch #554 at Tuesday Morning Sketches...

... but after I got him colored up, I didn't want him facing the edge of the card, so I flipped the sketch, making him face the center of the card. :)
I found the sentiment in a retired YNS set called Plant Some Kindness.
Copics:
Top - R39, R29, R27, R24, R22, R20, T1, C00
Stem - E44, E43, E42, E41, R30
That's all I have for today!
Thanks for stopping by!
Thinking of You Today...
I've colored up another digital image from Stamp Anniething... this one is from the Springtime Girl pack - you get four variations of this cute girl in one set!
I used the girl with the cactus, and paired her with some Doodlebug paper from the Fun in the Sun 6x6 pad.
Supplies: Hammermill Color Copy Cover 80#, Neenah Desert Storm 80#, Dodlebug Fun in the Sun 6x6, Copics,
Versafine Onyx Ink, May Arts Burlap Twine, YNS Friendship Fence (sentiment), YNS Stitched Ractangle Frames
She's colored with Copics, and framed with the Stitched Rectangle Frames Dies from YNS.

Ruff Day?
It's challenge time at Your Next Stamp!
This time, we want to see Lots of Layers!
This is actually quite a challenge for me! I tend to lean toward a more clean and simple style, and pairing patterned papers for layering is really hard for me!
I brought out an oldie for this card... I Ruff You! I used papers from the Doodlebug Puppy Love 6x6 Pad, and even paper-pieced the fence with a scrap from the collection. The pup is colored with Copics, and the sky is sponged with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.
Check it out... I even decorated the inside!
The front and inside sentiments are from the Word Critters - Cats and Dogs set. Then I added a paw cut from the Mini Paw Print Die.
All layers are cut from the Stitched Rectangles Dies, except for the orange stripe on the side, which was cut from the Scrapworks Stitched Strips Die Set.
Copics:
Dog - W3, W1, W0, W00
Ear, Paw, Nose - E49, E47, E44, E43
Eyes - BG0000, C00
Tongue - R24, R22, R20, R01
Grass - YG17, YG25, YG03, YG01, YG00
Shadows on Fence - T2, T0
I stepped out of my comfort zone, but I think it worked out okay!
How about you?? Are layers hard for you? Join the challenge and show us what you come up with... there is a YNS Gift Certificate up for grabs, too!
