It's a special day at C.C. Designs... we are welcoming a new digi illustrator - Loria Designs!

I was thrilled to get the chance to play with these adorable new images! There are 5 Loria Designs images in the store right now, and I have samples with 2 of them for you today!

First up, and definitely my favorite of the group, is Tinkerbell. I've colored her with Copics, and added some glitter to her wings. The sentiment is from the AmyR Magical Wishes set. Tinkerbell is one of my daughters favorite characters, so I think I will hang on to this one for her birthday in a couple of months!

My second card today uses the sweet Lilie Angel image. Lilie has also been colored with Copics, and is cut out and popped up on the card. The sentiment is from the AmyR Starry Sentiments set, and I glued a few chipboard cutouts from the Hearts a Plenty set. I left the chipboard raw to match my kraft cardstock.

Sketch Saturday #293

It's time for another new sketch at the Sketch Saturday Blog! This week, Deb has designed a fabulous sketch for us to use!

For my take on the sketch, I inked up my YNS Birdies on a Wire stamp, and colored it to match some cute patterned paper from the Doodlebug Springtime 6x6 pad. I simply stitched a border around the edge, and popped it up with foam tape. I had a little panic after adhering it to the card, when I noticed a smudge of black ink above the purple birdie... why does it always happen on the finished card?! To cover up my mistake, and save myself from starting over, I just doodled in an extra music note! Crisis averted! :)

It's time for some more YNS Fun Friday inspiration! I am loving this month's clean and simple sketch! This week, I've inked up another cute critter from the Jungle Critter Crew set. I purchased this Bamboo Forest digital paper from Jazzy Patterns on Etsy a while ago, and it matches this little guy perfectly! My daughter Abigail LOVES pandas, so she has already claimed this card for herself! :)

Happy Monday everyone! I have a quick little lovey-dovey card to share with you today...

This is a new Whimsie Doodles image called Healing Bear. I've colored it with Copics, and added a little "fluff" with my Marvy Snow Marker. This is my second attempt at this weeks Sketch Saturday, and once again, my main image came out a little big for the sketch. Oh well... still a cute card, right?

Sketch Saturday #292

Happy Saturday everyone! Got any crafty plans this weekend? How about playing along with us at Sketch Saturday?? We've got another great sketch this week, and Simon Says Stamp is back as our sponsor!

Here is our clean and simple sketch to inspire you, designed by Jen. I love this one!

Whenever I print my digis, I tend to print them very large... which isn't a big deal until I try to work them into a sketch! So, my focal point ended up being a little large compared to the sketch, but it's still a cute card, don't you think?

I used Wryn - Whatcha Doin'? from Tiddly Inks. She is one of my most favorite characters to color... just look at that hair! :)

I paired her with some paper from the My Mind's Eye Notable 6x6 pad, and the sentiment is from a YNS set called Springtme Scene. I printed a second image of Wryn, colored just the hands, fussy cut them, and pieced them to look like she is holding up the banner.
