YNS September Release Blog Hop!!

The Your Next Stamp September Release is here, and it's AMAZING!! Halloween, monsters, coffee, cute critters, and punny pickles... this release has something for everyone!! I never can seem to narrow down a favorite... but I'm really excited about the new Fun Faces Two set... with two kiddos wearing glasses, and one that is obsessed with mustaches, this set is going to be a lot of fun!
I have two cards to show you today... first up I've colored the new Sprinkles - Halloween Greetings. Ho cute is this little bunny peeking out of a jack-o-lantern?! I created a simple layout using the Stitched Squares Die Set and Circles Die Set, with a bit of burlap twine tied across the card.
Copics:
Bunny - E31, E30, E50
Pumpkin - YR18, YR07, YR04, Y38, Y35
Stem - E57, E55, E31
Leaf - YG17, YG25, YG03, YG01
For my second card, I used Silly Monsters Incognito Two. I was going to use the witches hat from Silly Monsters Incognito Three, but when I put the card together, I didn't have enough room! So, I opted for the top hat tilted to the side, and added googlie eyes a mustache!
The layout is the current Sketch Saturday sketch.

A SPOOKY YNS Sneak Peek!!
Tomorrow is the September New Release Blog Hop at Your Next Stamp!!
It's always exciting to show off the new goodies, and this month we've got some spooky-cute fun for you!!
I've used a new set called Spooky Spells... so fun for Halloween, and I've got some ideas I'm stowing away for Valentine's Day too!
I've had this awesome lime green glittery paper in my stash FOREVER... only one sheet! I have no idea where it came from, but I love it, and it seemed like a perfect fit with the witches cauldron. I colored the cauldron with Copics, and added some Diamond Stickles to the green goo boiling in the pot. This sentiment was calling to me... I went through a Shakespeare phase in my early teens, and Macbeth was the very first play I read.
Copics: YG17, YG25, YG03, YG01 and T7, T6, T5, T5, T3
I cut the green paper with my Stitched Rectangle Die Set, and the cauldron image was cut out with the Circles Die Set. I popped together a simple layout for all the sparkle to show, and added a few new Halloween Gumdrops to the corners.
All of the new goodies will be in the YNS Store TOMORROW!! Be sure to join us for the big Release Blog Hop!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Nutty for You!
I have a super cute treat to share with you today!
As soon as I saw the new Nutty Buddies set from the C.C. Designs September Release, I was thinking of Nutter Butters! If you've never had a Nutter Butter, they are yummy peanut butter sandwich cookies, and they are a favorite treat in my house! Typically, the cookies are shaped like a peanut, but I found these new circle cookies at the store! Score!!! They fit perfectly into a Wilton Pretzel Bag. And even more perfect... the new scalloped rectangle die from Make-a-Card Dies #9 was exactly the right size to create a little bag topper!
I scored the rectangle across the middle, folded it in half, and added the adorable squirrel and sentiment from the Nutty Buddies set.
I wanted to add a little more color to the project, so I cut 3 hearts from the Make-a-Card Die #9, and glued them to the outside of the bag, but centered them on each cookie. I am so thrilled with how this turned out... simple enough that I could whip up a bunch of them, but super duper cute too!
Copics:
Squirrel - E27, E25, E23, E31 and E31, E30, E50
Nose - R20, R30, R000, R0000

YNS Challenge TIme!
It's week 2 of inspiration for challenge #21 at Your Next Stamp! I really love the sketch for this challenge...

Lots of fabulous layers, but still a very clean slate! We also have a cheery color combination...

Choose the one that most inspires you, or combine the two for the ultimate challenge!
I've used just the sketch this time, and made a sweet and simple card...
I love this sentiment from Whatnot Sentiments Set Three, and it was just perfect for the focal point on the card. I cut it out using the Circles Die Set, and inked all of the edges of my layers with Antique Linen Distress Ink. It needed a little something extra since I didn't use an image, so I cut out the heart from the Whatnot Seasons Die Set, and topped it with a button.
You have just one more week to join in this challenge for a chance to win a YNS Gift Certificate!
Hope you'll play along!
